To all of you who are familiar with the difference between the default windows notepad and notepad++ application its not very difficult to explain difference between internet explorer and FlashPeak SlimBrowser. Any ways FlashPeak SlimBrowser is a tabbed browser which is pre-loaded with many of the basic features which comes in really handy while browsing. This light weight browser will surprise you with many of its innovative features. You can not compare it with fx and opera when it comes to features but when it comes to memory hungry needs you will be amazed.
Some of the many features of slimbrowser that will amaze you are:-
- One of the features that moved me was ability to create separate group for favorite website and launch then all at once. In simple words if you have mail accounts on different mail server you can launch all your mail accounts pages at once instead of launching then separately.
- It has inbuilt spell checker, add-blocker and tabbed browsing support. You can view all of your open Web pages as separate tiled windows horizontally or vertically, and then move them around and resize them.
- It provides one-click access to search engines via pre-defined quicksearch entries.
- You can easily define your own quicksearch entries. It provides one-click access to personal accounts via predefined autologin entries.
- It supports URL filter and in-page ad filter which blocks annoying advertisements and offensive content effectively.
- It is able to render RSS new feeds into readable web pages. It support URL alias and built-in commands.
- It also supports ftp file uploading. The built-in ScriptPad is able to edit JScript / VBScript and HTML files with syntax highlighting.
- The program interface is fully skinnable and a large collection of skins are available for download.
At first the interface may look a bit crowded and clustered with many features but once youu get hold of the features and settings its a real deal.
What innovative feature?
This is an Opera innovation which was present in the first publicly released build of Opera (1996).
Currently present in many other browsers.
Can be done with almost all browsers. Same with 4-6 and 8.
None of the features are innovative or amazing. In fact it misses out on a lot of basic features. Also it uses the god awful Trident engine. If you insist on using the Trident engine go for Maxthon 2 – a browser that is truly innovative and awesome.
Also please provide a link to the products website instead of hotlinking to the download file.
btw now a days IE8 also works best…
I already told in by bolg that you can not compare the browsers with that of fx and opera. Its just light weight and works flawlessly on slower system
